Syracuse MS in Communications Branding Campaign

The Challenge

The Newhouse School at Syracuse University partnered with 2U to create an online master's program in communications. They gave us creative control to reach their target audience of young, savvy media professionals.

The Solution

Create a brand and voice for the program that broke through the clutter of the online degree market. Together, a talented designer and I created a vision for this program that was clean, bright, and youthful.

My role: copywriting, brand development

The brand style guide defined the voice, tone,
and graphic identity for
the online MS in Communications program.

The Mad Men series finale infographic was a labor of love.

After pitching the idea to the university, my design partner and I worked into the night after the show's finale to complete the work and publish it on the program website's blog during the night. The final infographic uses illustration and copy to depict the evolution of characters and the agency over seven seasons.

All branding for the MS in Communications launch, including the Mad Men infographic, was created in collaboration with graphic designer Claire Smalley.
